Proposal: Being Appreciative

Reached quorum 6 votes to 0. Enacted by Kevan. Sylphrena’s Grecian Urn increases in Real Value.

Adminned at 29 Aug 2014 01:34:36 UTC

In Rule 2.7 Special Delivery, reword “shall award the selected Seller with a Good which belongs to the “Collectables” Category” to:-

shall award the selected Seller with a Good which belongs to the “Antiques” Category

For each of the Categories “Arts” and “Antiques” Kevan shall privately and randomly choose ten goods within that category and increase their real value by one.

Gives Appreciating Goods the push they need to start circulating the system. Right now no-one wants them.

imperial I’m not certain of the implications of this in terms of balance, so I’ll defer to His Brokeness

I’m not sure what the second part means. Currently, there are no goods to increase the Real Value of, and no indication of how often this would be done is given.

It would be done once, and either immediately or not at all, I’d imagine. imperial

If anyone gained any Art or Antiques before this enacted, ten of them would increase in Real Value. Although since I have to do it, any other admin enacting this proposal cannot mark it as enacted until I’ve done that bit.

You don’t always enact something as soon as possible, you know. Letting it get a bit more input is sometimes a good idea, and some times are just inconvenient. It’s also not blocking a queue.

When it says “choose ten goods within that category” would it allow doubles or not? I’m reading it now and honestly thinking it could be read either way.

As someone who is only slightly biased, I believe that it should allow doubles. :)
