Proposal: Dead Man’s Boots

Reached quorum, 8 votes to 1. Enacted by Kevan.

Adminned at 08 Mar 2009 04:43:58 UTC

[ Reproposing Arthexis’s victory condition, without biasing against the unloyal. And we might as well drop the existing Catch-22 joke. ]

Rename the rule “There’s only one catch” to “Field Promotion”, and reword it to:-

A Soldier’s Dedication is equal to their XP, multiplied by the absolute value of their Loyalty. If a Soldier is Dead, their Dedication is instead zero.

If the General is Dead, any Soldier whose Dedication is higher than the Dedication of all other Soldiers may declare victory.

Repeal 2.1.2 (Skirmishes Completed). (This rule was only being used by There’s only one catch.)

[Wakukee] Why against? I thought the negative-loyalty punishment was your only issue with the last version of this, and this fixes it.

No, it was the ” I was trying to remain as neutral as possible” that did it for me.

for I’m not entirely sure about the repeal of the skirmish counter. However i guess pretty much everyone is in each skirmish and it’s counted in XP anyway =)
