Proposal: Full Moon Rising

Cannot reach quorum with nine votes against. Failed by Kevan.

Adminned at 25 Oct 2007 09:16:59 UTC

Add the following to rule 2.5

The mayor shall keep track of the number of game nights that have passed. On the 14th night and every 28 nights thereafter it will be fullmoon. The mayor will indicate that it is a fullmoon by making an appropriate post.

Create a new subrule:

2.3.2 Death Visits Eventually
During a night when it is a fullmoon, if there are any werewolves that are alive and not in prison then the mayor will randomly select a villager from the targets selected by the free and alive werewolves. This villager is now Dead and the mayor must make a post indicating this.

imperial I like the full moon idea, although think it should be something like once a week rather than monthly.

Not sure about the subrule though.

against If you want to speed things up, identify the werewolves to each other (although it looks like they have learned to communicate with each other).

for Although I’d like to see a fix that just named the (entirely calculable) dates of these full moons, rather than asking me to keep count.

against On second thoughts, then “since” is ambiguous, and this gives a potential two deaths per night in the late game, which is a critical time.
