In the rule “Horoscopes”, replace the sentence

Each Townsperson has a Birth Sign, which is tracked in the GNDT.

with

Each Townsperson has a Birth Sign, which is tracked in the GNDT and seperated by a comma between each two elements.

The Townsperson enacting this proposal has to change the Birth Signs of each Townperson to include the commata.

Not sure if important at some point, but everyone just made the commata. I didn’t. :-)

against If we’re going to specify a format, I’d rather see something more concise.

against I don’t think we need to specify a strict format at all.

for mideg’s format is bothering me to be fair and it seems like this will only affect him so sure.

Still, if he’s going to make a Proposal purely to force himself to change his own behavior… I’m not sure what to make of this.

ayesdeef: To be honest, I noted my stats in the GNDT the way I did just to prove my point. Kevan noted the Birthsigns without the articles. I don’t want to be a pain, but isn’t the article part of the birthsign the way it is denoted in the rule?

against because as long as it is clear what birthsign each person has then I don’t like the idea of restricting the format. There might be a way most people do it but that doesn’t mean everyone should be forced to do it that way.

It seems like the main thing this would change is making it easier to accidentally set someone’s Birthsign to an illegal value.

Concerning the comma, I can live with that.

But the article “the” is part of the birthsign, isn’t it?

It’s been some time since last I played, but how do I handle the case where I believe someone made a “wrong move”?

You could make a Call for Judgement. But the rule says “Each Townsperson has a Birth Sign, which is tracked in the GNDT. A Birth Sign is made up three elements…” I believe that by making it clear what elements are in his birth sign, Kevan is successfully tracking his birth sign, even if he’s not using the elements’ official titles.

If you think somebody’s updated the GNDT illegally you can just change it to what you think it should be - if they disagree, it can go to a CfJ.

OK, thanks for the clear up.
