Hiatus

I know I made the proposal that allowed Angry Grasshopper to win, but I think this outcome is mighty strange. It’s nothing personal, Angry Grasshopper - it’s just the principle of the thing. Usually you have to play the game to win. I’d like to hear everyone’s thoughts about this situation. Perhaps a CfJ is called for, even though the win isn’t technically illegal that I can see.

I only really nominated Angry Grasshopper to point out a flaw in the proposal, that players who aren’t playing could win.. The choice was careful though, as e seems to be watching (e commented on an earlier proposal)

The problem I see is that (A): AngryGrasshopper did nothing to actually win. In a Dynasty of Aaron or Quazie, that would be acceptable due to the insanity but this is a more “Seirious” Dynasty. So it’s unfair to those who did the most work to win, like Purplebeard and Excalabur. (B): AngryGrasshopper won because of 2 votes in eir favor, while 5 people did not vote in eir favor. A new Dynasty is tempting though, especically that could be like AG’s last dynasty.

Nothing personal taken, of course—it is hard to take anything inside this round personally because I’ve been absent the whole time.

Let’s see what everybody thinks about the idea. If anybody else actually playing had plans to win this round and run the next one, perhaps some notice to that extent would be useful.

I was planning on winning, or at least trying to.  However, the very proposal that enabled your victory was also the proposal that would’ve prevented mine, more or less, with the 3-days per invasion bleeding me to death due to the limitations on action-taking.  Admittedly, I could’ve tried to run some amendments through, but this seemed like more fun….

I haven’t been playing and I don’t care… but it was weird to hop on here and see everything different all of the sudden.
