Of course, we can add hometowns in a flurry of proposal activity, unless someone wants to design a mechanic for adding hometowns in a nonconflicting manner that doesn’t involve everyone having to vote on the addition of a hometown.

what might the game effect of a particular hometown be?  Is this supposed to represent where the Actor lives now, or where the Actor lived before arriving in Hollywood?

I echo spike’s comment. Don’t rush to approve something that has no effect on the rules. This is equivalent to establishing the “Agent.” There is nothing in this proposal about what the hometown means about you. 

Sometimes it is fun to state a term in a proposal and leave it up for definition later. You might find that too close to Nomic a la Mad Libs, but I think it also gives us some creative room to play.

snowball, how does this have no effect on the rules?  The very first line of the proposal is “add a new rule”.  The biggest problem with the Agent proposal was that it just created a new concept without creating a record somewhere in the ruleset.

Meh, I agree with snowball on this, but I’m curious to see how it will evolve as the game goes on
