Passes 11-0 after 12 hours -Darth

Adminned at 24 Aug 2009 21:40:45 UTC

Heh. This dynasty is about to end and no-one’s updated the NomicWiki page on BN to reflect this dynasty. Or yuri’s for that matter.

Of course, now I’m updating it.

Bucky:

08-24-2009 20:43:27 UTC

I am extremely upset by the DDA coup, as I feel it killed a perfectly good dynasty.

However, I’ll give this DoV a grudging for , since the win does appear to be legitimate.

Qwazukee:

08-24-2009 20:46:50 UTC

Remember the paranoia bit? There was no DDA coup. Heck, I went for a Dynasty and a half without even mentioning the DDA before today.

Qwazukee:

08-24-2009 20:49:17 UTC

If you are upset with the Dynasty ending, I’d take it up with arthexis. I had no intention of the Dynasty ending now, but that’s the way things went down. On the upside, at least there are some good theme ideas for the next dynasty.

Wakukee:

08-24-2009 21:26:23 UTC

Actually, I’m gonna agree with Bucky. Rod unidles, makes a proposal, then you vetoed all the other proposals, enabling DC to win. Before that, you, arth, and ex were gonna lead a triumvirate, but you vetoed it to give DC the victory. You DDA people definately held a coup against the rest of us.

Klisz:

08-24-2009 21:30:24 UTC

...Wak, you’re a member of the DDA.

Also, when Clucky idled, I left the DDA.

Qwazukee:

08-24-2009 21:31:31 UTC

When you put it that way, it does sound suspicious. There is a fatal exception in your logic, however. The hypothetical “coup” you speak of worked perfectly as you described it. Therefore, there is no possible way the DDA could have perpetrated it. I have 13 Dynasties of experience to back that statement up.

Seriously, there was no plan. If the DDA reforms and hatches any plans, I guarantee you Rodlen will post a DDA messageboard for communicating secret activities to everyone in the world. Guaranteed.

Rodlen:

for

Rodlen:

08-24-2009 22:17:56 UTC

I had no idea, when I made that proposal, that Darth would win.

Rodlen:

08-24-2009 22:20:55 UTC

Plus, DDA has High Command.  This hypothetical coup can’t be on purpose, then.  High Command would have utterly ruined our plans, if they were actual plans.

Ienpw III:

08-24-2009 22:22:30 UTC

UN and Post-Apoc.

Rodlen:

08-24-2009 22:22:32 UTC

Also, Qwazzy, the first appearance of the DDA was my first dynasty, which was 12 dynasties ago.  So…no, no you don’t have 13 dynasties of experience when it comes to DDA-related matters.

Rodlen:

08-24-2009 22:24:10 UTC

And finally, post-apoc sounds nice to me.

Bucky:

08-24-2009 22:24:13 UTC

The post-apocalyptic dynasty idea seems very similar to the Crashed Spaceship dynasty.  Similarly, the Nations idea is very similar to the Hegemonic dynasty.

I dislike the Calvin and Hobbs and Super Smash Bros ideas and like the two kevan.org-based ideas.

Qwazukee:

08-24-2009 22:24:29 UTC

I’m including that Dynasty itself.

When I saw the “C&H;comic” post, I definitely thought he was talking about Cyanide and Happiness for a second.

Klisz:

Current tally of votes (counting Bucky’s dislikes as -1; and not counting mine at all, as I like all of these):

Calvin & Hobbes: 1
Capetown: 2
Dvorak: 1
Solitaire Nomic: 0
Smash: 0
Nations: 1
Katamari: 0
Future: 0
Post-Apocalyptic: 4

Rodlen:

08-24-2009 22:30:04 UTC

The second appearance of the DDA was in the Second Dynasty of Yoda.  It didn’t appear between those dynasties.

Darknight:

08-24-2009 22:30:39 UTC

for LOL, I find it interesting that Bucky and myself have taken a liking to the kevan.org games as a dynasty. Are you secretly a distant relation bucky?

Qwazukee:

08-24-2009 22:31:44 UTC

Indeed, no DDA projects succeeded between those two Dynasties. Or at any other time.

Mossfire:

08-24-2009 22:36:50 UTC

Not that this makes any sense for

Klisz:

So an ampersand then a letter seems to trigger it. Which is odd it’s a bit like that thing in html where to do some characters you write ampersand then the name of the character then a semicolon :)

Yeah but why does it do it at all?

Klisz:

08-24-2009 23:13:55 UTC

Simple.

As dogfish said, “it’s a bit like that thing in html where to do some characters you write ampersand then the name of the character then a semicolon”.

Therefore, the makers of EE added this function in as a correction.

Qwazukee:

08-24-2009 23:14:53 UTC

I see. That is . . . really lame.

Klisz:

08-24-2009 23:16:49 UTC

More specifically, if you enter and ampersand and then “amp” you’ll get: &

When did we have 179? I thought the record was 124.

Wakukee:

nocomment record breaking. There is no reason, and the comments are wasted, as they are unreadable after 100. Don’t ask me why, they just are.
