Proposal: INFRARED love

Adminned at 12 Aug 2010 00:09:00 UTC

Many of you will not remember having been INFRARED, on account of a previous clone of you having earned a higher clearance. However, I nonetheless implore you to think back to the days your previous clone had at INFRARED clearance, and then to notice the shabby state of the INFRARED rules.

Accordingly, effective immediately, the rule ‘Slander’ is to be amended to read

Slander is disharmonious, which leads to unhappiness. Accordingly, any Citizen who posts a blog post that constitutes slander of an Officer will have his Treason score increased by one. A statement is slanderous if (1) any Officer with a Clearance Level of VIOLET or higher says so in a comment to that blog post, or (2) the statement satisfies such requirements as are issued in a blog post from time to time by an OFFICER with a Clearance Level of Green or higher that have not been superseded by a subsequent blog post by an Offier with a higher Clearance Level, or with ULTRAVIOLET Clearance.

Additionally, double rations of love are available this week. The rule ‘Thank you for your loyalty, Citizen!’ is amended to read

Within 24 hours of the Enactment of a proposal they authored, a Citizen may raise their Clearance by one level.

The passing of this proposal satisfies all love quotas for the month.

Times out 5-4 and is enacted. -coppro

against The second change would let an ULTRAVIOLET traitor leapfrog any co-conspirators to ULTRAVIOLET Clearance. (Colleague has a proposal pass, traitor promotes the rule to VIOLET, colleague raises his clearance repeatedly, traitor demotes the rule to INFRARED.)

I hope this doesn’t mean that Citizen Coppro-U-BLN-1 is involved in some kind of conspiracy.

Can’t ultraviolets promote other citizens to ultraviolet anyway?

[ais523] Oh, so they can. I thought they were following the same promote-to-a-lower-clearance pattern as other colours.

I’m still a bit puzzled as to the need for the change, though.
