Proposal: Labels

Reaches quorum, 16 votes to 0. Enacted by Kevan.

If the proposal ‘The Social Side’ failed, this proposal does nothing.
To the rule entitled “Social Structure”, add the following:

A Contestant who supports a Leader is a Follower. A Contestant supported by a leader is a Chosen.

Some other random labels, currently meaningless, someone more creative can maybe factor these into rules later on?

imperial I’m not sure if we need the extra terms.

imperial indifferent because a proposal that really wanted to use these terms could define it itself - unless we as players should be labelling each other? which I’m not wildly enthusiastic about…

Is a problem that under this rule someone can simultaneously be a leader, a follower and a chosen?  Imagine if A and B support C, but C and D support A.  A is a follower because he supports C, a leader.  He is also a leader because he is supported by two contestants, C and D.  Finally he is a chosen because he is supported by C, who is himself a leader.  For analogous reasons C also bears all three titles.  My instinct is that this is going to get very confusing very fast.  While I am open to being persuaded otherwise, my initial vote is against

I did realise that before I made my proposal. It would already be posible for a leader to be part of a pair.. Anyways..

TAE: The way to fix that issue is to redefine Chosen as one who is in a Pair and Supports a Leader.  If both members of a Pair are Leaders, you simply have a two-Leader Pair.
