Proposal: Outsiders Finding Their Way Back In

Passes 7-3. - Qwazukee

Create a new Dynastic Rule titled “Looks Like Fame Is Good For Something” with the following text:

An Outsider who has at least 5 Fame may “Bribe My Way Back In” by spending 5 Fame. When a Contestant “Bribes My Way Back In,” they become an Insider, and have their Vote and Support stats returned to their default values. In order to “Bribe My Way Back In,” the Contestant must make a blog post describing who he is Bribing (he can only Bribe an Insider who has a higher Fame rating than he did before spending 5 Fame, or the Host). The Bribed Contestant (or Host) may increase their own Fame by 1 once (the Host can gain Fame through this method). When a Contestant becomes an Insider by “Bribing My Way Back In,” they set their Location to “Control Room” and decrease their Looks by 1 (to a minimum of 0). No Contestant may ever “Bribe My Way Back In” more than once. No Contestant may “Bribe My Way Back In” at any time when there are fewer than 6 Insiders.

Create a New Dynastic Rule titled “Running the Late Night Circuit” with the following text:

As a weekly action, an Outsider may “Appear on a Late Night TV Show” if their Fame is less than 5. To do this, the Outsider makes a Comment in the GNDT of “Conan” and a roll of DICE2. They may then increase their Fame score by the DICE roll’s result, to a maximum of 5 Fame.

The idea here is to keep Outsiders involved in the game. The specifics aren’t particularly important, but I’ll run down the reasons here, just in case you’re wondering:

The restriction to Bribing higher-Fame Insiders is because only Insiders with a high amount of Fame will be able to finagle the show’s Producers, etc. into bringing an Outsider back.
This lets them Bribe ais because not only does that make sense, but it lets ais pick up some of the Fame he has long deserved.
The Fame increase is the reward that the Bribees get in return for their trouble.
The decrease in Looks is because it looks bad to Bribe people (duh).
The restriction on Bribery only once is because we really don’t want this to be an infinite loop.
The 6 Insider restriction is so that Bribery won’t affect what will be the endgame (which is the exact opposite of the last Dynasty, if you think about it).
The 5 Fame restriction on Late Night is so that Contestants don’t intentionally become Outsiders in order to gain Fame.
The keyword “Conan” is in honor of Conan O’Brien taking over the Tonight Show.

Like I said, that’s just the thought behind the Proposal, for those who wanted to know.
