Replace “Daily Action” with “Church Action” throughout the dynastic ruleset.

Enact a new rule, “Church Actions”:-

If something is defined as a Church Action, it can be performed at any time, provided that the Cardinal performing it spends an amount of Influence equal to 1 plus the number of times that Cardinal has already performed that Church Action that day.

Then replace “post a Ballot on that Cardinal’s behalf by paying 1 Influence and posting a comment” with “post a Ballot on that Cardinal’s behalf by posting a comment”, and replace “a Cardinal may reduce their Influence by 2 to increase their Benefices by 1” with “a Cardinal may reduce their Influence by 1 to increase their Benefices by 1”.

Straight reproposal of Panem Nostrum Quotidianum but without the broken bit.

Still don’t like a pay-to-play concept. It punishes people with low influence, with no real pathway to earn influence.

[delcooper] But high-Influence players have “no real pathway” to earn Influence either, beyond other people’s Speeches. Once those players have taken a bunch of Church Actions they’d be in the same position.

@Kevan, well, you’re a high Influence Player, so I don’t trust you. That’s about as far as my reasoning gets.

[Kevan] That’s exactly my point. Everyone will make Church Actions until they deplete their influence, happening much sooner for those with low influence. There’s already very little motivation for people to make speeches as they don’t directly benefit from it, so when everyone gets down to zero influence, there will be no more actions.
