Proposal: Rigor Mortis

Enacted 12-2. Josh

Adminned at 10 Apr 2010 07:13:33 UTC

If the Proposal titled “It’s a dangerous world out there” passed, add to rule Death, after the first bullet point:

* Their Energy is set to 0.

Turn every Bridge on 8z, 8A, 8B, 12z, 12A, and 12B into Empty Space or Dirt.

For the purposes of deconstruction, all Bridges currently on the Map were Water before they were built.

Dying isn’t the most invigorating experience, and shouldn’t increase a Colonist’s Energy.

Also removes some unnecessary Bridges, and makes sure that the bridge over the river does not turn into dirt when deconstructed.

I dunno, can’t we consider that to be a typo?

against This could easily lead to a scam; if you somehow kill someone somewhere they’re incapable of resting (for any reason), you could relatively easily lock down the entire game.

I don’t think there are any places where you can’t rest, at least if I’m reading it right.  You just can’t rest more than once a week, so at most they’d be knocked out for the week.  That makes sense though, considering that we’re talking about dying, here.

Also, if all values are reset to defaults, it means they’d just get teleported back to 13a.

Well, an alternative scam would be to somehow knock everyone out, and then just do a mass-kill attack on 13a once a week from then on. (There isn’t one at the moment, but may be one later.)

Tiberias:

ais: If someone did that, everyone could still rest and then go do things, so long as the hadn’t so far that week.

for but I see the problem ais mentioned.

I assume the Bridge locations are typos, but I’m not sure, whether it would be ok to remove the probably meant Bridges. If I were an admin, I would remove no Bridge, but it’s up to the Admin, I think…

That seems like a really good reason to vote against any and all mass-kill attacks that may arise in future. I’ll be with you on that.

If this passes, I say we build a tiny room around 13a and 14a (rooms have to be more than one location) and put a bed on the spawn point. I think the ideal layout is:

O+O
ObO
+.+
O+O
