Proposal: Slow and Steady

Passes 5-1. Enacted by Brendan.

Adminned at 07 Mar 2016 05:34:59 UTC

Enact a new rule, “Dead Shot”:-

When an Orc is required to take the result of a DICEX roll in the GNDT, they may instead choose to take a fixed vale of X/2 (rounding down) as the result of that roll.

for I like it. It seems like people might always play it safe though and I like the idea of risk. Maybe this could only be for certain actions?

against I’d probably like it more if there was some limit on how often you could do it, or some other disadvantage.

To me it seems like the same idea as taking 10 on a roll in d&d or other D20 based games. It should probably be keyworded to something where you can only do it on certain actions like Rest but not to things like combat. I still favor pass and then propose an amendment if you want to things like this that are not even remotely broken as is.

for Being able to Take 10 (on some things?) seems a nice way to mitigate the chances of randomness determining everything.
