Proposal: The crowd are getting impatient

Times out 12-2 with Quorum for -Bucky

Adminned at 22 May 2009 12:56:29 UTC

Add a subrule called “Make your mind up” to rule 2.1, with the following text:

A Contestant whose Vote is not set to an Insider is said to be Misvoting. If at least 72 hours have elapsed since the last time a Contestant became Out, a Contestant may, as a daily action, change a Misvoting Contestant’s Vote to any Insider. (Changing the Vote of one Misvoting Contestant is the same daily action as changing the Vote of a different Misvoting Contestant; therefore, each Contestant may only change one other Contestant’s Vote per day.)

The viewers are getting impatient for someone to become an Outsider. More importantly, I want to know what’s outside this bunker! And when the vote is getting close to quorum, the cameraman will be allowed out to set up cameras, and I’ll have some idea of what’s there. (That is, if we can get the cameras working in time.)

@Psycotipath: no, apparently not. I wonder if the mechanic in this rule works before we have at least one eviction? It should work from then on, anyway, and the time limit is necessary to avoid rapid-fire outsidering scams.

against Weird and broken wording.  I don’t think this is gonna help anyone get voted off.  What would help is a reason to vote one person off over someone else.

Or there could be set voting times when the contestant with the most votes gets voted off instead of waiting for a quorum.

@Yoda: How is it broken?

@Yoda - I like the voting event idea. That seems more in keeping with the theme.

I also like the idea of voting times. And I agree that this doesn’t seem to hurry things along, but I don’t see how it’s broken?
