Wiki vandalism
Has anyone noticed that there has been a TON of spam on the wiki? This much spam hasn’t been seen for as long as I can remember. How effective are the tools we have available for blocking these vandals?

I can strongly recommend recaptcha if 75th Trombone wants to install it - it’s got its own Mediawiki plugin, and is very easy to get up and running. I think most wiki spam is automated - I’m running a few MediaWiki installs, and haven’t noticed any spam problems since I installed this captcha.

Is it worth doling out some wiki admin privileges so that people can help clear this up?
