Proposal: Winning
3-8. Timed Out.—Chronos

Add a subrule to Fame entitled “Victory”:
If, through the normal course of play, the rules direct an Actor’s Fame score to be set to a higher value than the maximum allowed, it shall be set to the maximum value, and that Actor wins the dynasty if e then posts a Declaration of Victory within 48 hours of said occurence.
This seems to be what we’re working towards, so let’s go ahead and put it in the rules. Unless being famous shouldn’t be the ultimate goal?

Eh. I dislike the word “wins”. We are all “winners” here. IT should be “has achieved factory”
Clucky:
Where by “factory” I mean “victory” didn’t you get the memo?
Amnistar:
...I think winning should be called “Acheiving a Factory” from now on. Next dynasty…Industrial Age!
Amnistar:
oh woops…
Clucky:
Haha. “I thought I had achieved factory. But it turns out I forgot about the assembly line. Thus my factory was void.”
Tiberias:
Clucky: I’ll keep that in mind next time I make a victory condition proposal.

Eh, even though this looks like this is going to pass, I have to agree with Hix here. It just seems too simplistic. Fame will start increasing too quickly when named roles come into play, and as it stands now it seems to be luck of the draw whether you can get the After parties or not.
Amnistar:
Tiberias:
Amnistar: Which reasons? Poor terminology, too simplistic/random, or both.
Hix/Clucky/anyone else: If I shouldn’t require a declaration of victory, what is the best way to impose a satute of limitations on declaring victory due to a point event?
ChronosPhaenon:
Tiberias: A rule like that is the usual: “The Actor who has managed to get his name cited twice at the main page has achieved victory.”
The statute of limitations is the entirity of rule 1.9.

And with a maximum of ten fame… (vide supra Axeling)

Amnistar:
er…fame’s maximum is 100 right now.
