I am concerned this would prevent the Hard Rules from being repealed when the dynasties end, because I’m not sure the Ascension Address is the means by which dynastic rules are repealed.

Koen - it is - “The Hiatus continues until the new Time Buddha makes an Ascension Address by posting an entry in the “Ascension Address” category - this should specify the Time Buddha’s chosen theme for the new Dynasty, and may optionally specify that the terms Time Monk and Time Buddha will be replaced with theme-specific terms throughout the entire ruleset, and/or a number of dynastic rules to keep.”

[Josh] But does the Ascension Address amend the rule, or does Rule 1.7 amend the rule? The relevant bit is 1.7’s next sentence, which is in the passive voice; “Upon posting such an Ascension Address, [any] dynastic rules which were not listed to be kept are repealed.”

There seem to be quite a few ambiguities like this in the core rules at the moment.
