Endgame

Okay, you can now nominate another Monk who you believe is “outstanding beyond the other Monks”.

Details of how AG died:

As soon as AG was sent to the infirmary with 0 temporary fitness, I fought a series of seven fights with the Abbot. The first was at severity 2, the last six were at severity 1.

Fight 1: AG at 10(0), Elias IX at 23(17)
I rolled DICE17:2, so I missed. AG can never fight back, since DICE0<17
I rolled DICE17:17, so I hit. DICE2:2, so AG goes to 10(-2).
I rolled DICE17:9, so I hit. DICE2:1, so AG goes to 10(-3)

Integrity losses of 2*2 for me, 1*2 for AG.

Fight 2:
I rolled DICE17:8, so I hit. DICE1:1, so AG goes to 10(-4).
I rolled DICE17:5, so I hit. DICE1:1, so AG goes to 10(-5).
I rolled DICE17:16, so I hit. DICE1:1, so AG goes to 10(-6).

Since there was a fight in the same room within the last 24 hours, integrity losses are 1/4, but they both round down to 0.

Fights 3-7:
At this point, AG’s blessings plus a quarter of eir Temporary Fitness = 1/2, so all my shots hit.
First, AG’s temporary fitness is reduced to 10(-8), at which point my punches start to affect actual fitness, so 15 rounds later, Angry Grasshopper is at -3(-8). Rest in peace.

Details of how AG got to Elias’s location (and with such a low TF):

I fought the Abbot 3 times (a total of 9 rounds).  The first was with S=2 and the others were with S=1.  The Abbot started with 10(10) fitness.

My TF was 29, so the Abbot needed his DICE(TF) check to be greater than 7.25 (and it never was).  After my first 3 hits landed, it became impossible for him to score a hit on me.  All 9 of my DICE29 rolls were greater than the 4.5 required to hit someone with 2 blessings and 10 (or less) TF.

In the first fight, my DICE2 damage rolls were: 1, 1, and 2.  So I did 4 TF worth of damage
In each of the next two fights: I did 1, 1, and 1 damage.

The first fight cost the Abbot 2 integrity, and cost me 4 integrity.  The integrity loss from the other 2 fights gets rounded down to zero.  At the conclusion of 3 fights, the Abbot had zero temporary fitness, so was magically teleported to the infirmary, where Elias lay in wait.
