Oh dear.

I found a four-day-old e-mail in my account. It’s from a player (I’m not sure e wanted his name posted…) who attempted to delete his account, and deleted the old blognomic blog instead. The wayback machine has preserved the posts, but as far I can see, not the comments. Any ideas before defaulting to complete and total panic?

EDIT: Apparently, the really really old entries have also gone the way of the old GNDT logs and Ravenblack’s memorial fund. It so happens that the fund was in the really really old entries, and thus it is within itself.

This wont effect us now, right? Might be able to save some stuff by using Google’s cached pages if it’s not too late?

I had this email as well; I asked him to post an entry here about it, but didn’t hear from him again.

The comments were already lost, they were hosted off-site by some fly-by-night company that disappeared a couple of years ago.

I’ll take a look at automated methods for converting Wayback and Google Cache data back into flat HTML; somebody must have had to do it, before.
