EE upgrade complete, hopefully sane

ExpressionEngine has been upgraded to version 1.6.0. This should have complete PHP 5 compatibility, and will hopefully have fixed the problems the upgrade to PHP 5 caused.

Someone please, please tell me that’s true.

True, the buttons don’t seem to be working.  Let’s test this, though:

I guess that doesn’t work, either.

Looks like the blanked-link problem is definitely fixed now, by the way (this is a definite comment thread that had a blank entry last time).

Manually typing smileys works again.

I have no earthly idea why the buttons don’t work anymore; the Javascript didn’t change, and the form elements didn’t change, either, that I can see.

Will investigate further…

Links to player profile still don’t work form the comments though.

Yeah, I will never understand why the buttons broke. Nothing about the Javascript or HTML changed as far as I can see. But I just changed the Javascript to something a little less 1999—- didn’t even change the names of the HTML element it was working with—- and it started working again.

I secretly believe someone happened to be messing with the Javascript just as I was messing with the PHP, but I’ll never prove it. :P
