Proposal: Spell Chains

Fails 5-5. yuri_dragon_17

If (and only if) there exist Dynastic Rules called “Runes” and “Workbench”:

Create a Dynastic Rule called “Spell Chains” with no text.

Create a subrule to “Spell Chains” called “SAP” with text

If an Apprentice’s Workbench contains “SAP” as a subsequence, he may choose a single non-Damaged rune (the target rune) appearing in the Workbench of another Apprentice, then simultaneously replace a single occurrence of “SAP” in his own Workbench with 3 occurrences of the target rune, and replace the target rune with the Damaged Rune “X”.

.

Create a subrule to “Spell Chains” called “SORT” with text

If an Apprentice’s Workbench contains “SORT” as a subsequence, he may rearrange the ordering of the Runes in a single Apprentice’s Workbench so that the non-Damaged Runes are in alphabetical order from left to right, while keeping the positions of any Damaged Runes the same (The sequence “XXASXOOXTOX” would become “XXAOXOOXSTX”, for example).  After doing this, if the Apprentice’s Workbench still contains “SORT” as a subsequence, he must immediately choose and replace each of 2 runes in a single occurrence of “SORT” in his own Workbench with the Damaged Rune “X”.

Propose it as an amendment that incorporates these ideas (if they pass), then, don’t shoot suggestions down because they don’t match something you haven’t told us yet. This is Nomic.

(That was a response to Bucky.)

I did make a point of not setting down any general Spelling rules.  Each of my effects stands on its own, even if later, there is some other system that allows Spelling.

Test comment to see whether this breaks the cached version.
