The First Break-In

Not a great first night for the Burglars, with three of their team encountering guards, and neither of their two remaining members securing any artifacts.

Burglar DoomedIdeas encountered Guard Lendunistus.

Burglar SingularByte encountered Guard Ais523.

Burglar JonathanDark encountered Guard Darknight.

No Camera Traps were triggered.

I processed the end of the Breaking In action in slightly the wrong order, but the current state should have shaken out correctly.

A significant piece of strangeness was the Artifacts being Scattered under the old rule, then overwritten by the Shadow Ruleset replacing “There are Spots which contain Artifacts” with “There is a list of Artifacts” (invalidating and blanking the gamestate about Spots containing Artifacts) and it then being possible for me to scatter them after Breaking In (since “there are no Artifacts”).

So this should’ve been the plan:

Clucky takes CCCCCCCCCCCC
qenya takes NNNNNNNNNNNN
Darknight takes GGGGGGGGGGGG
Lendun takes XXXXXXXXXXXX

yeah its a boring strategy, but I’m not sure how

a) SingularByte could’ve only been encountered by ais and

b) the other burglars didn’t get encountered despite us locking down all the entrances

obviously the most straight forward explanation is that someone deviated from our plan. but maybe I’m missing something about how the gamestate works?

We worked out that you were doing that and did GROUNDS x12

If SingularByte did GROUNDS x12, they couldn’t have encountered ais. If they did something else, they should’ve also encountered another guard

Likewise, if TrapdoorSpyder did GROUNDS x12 they couldn’t have gotten any infamy

Guessing someone probably deviated from the plan. Its the simplest explanation. But I do wanna double check everything was followed right.

Checking my notes again based on what’s been said here, I don’t see any mistakes in how I processed the Break-In.
