@Josh - I don’t like the rule either, but JD’s proposal seemed likely to pass, so this was my compromise. If you propose to repeal it later, I’ll probably vote for that repeal.

My proposal is definitely not going to pass at this point. Not sure why some of the folks in favor of “shenanigans” that voted against my proposal are now no longer in favor of “shenanigans” and voting in favor of this one, unless this proposal is the shenanigans?

Personally, I have no issues with the duplicated names. If you want to get in on my om nom nomic franchise happy to help get you set up with a small one time franchising fee (plus royalties plus the continued licensing fee plus down payment on the breach of contract fee plus standard 20% markup on all fees plus tax)

But its clear DoomedIdeas doesn’t want to share their name. And I think first come first served is a much fairer way of breaking ties, especially when you’re an admin so could easily just be the one to pass your proposal, rename both trucks, then immediately go back to “Poke’s Rice and Beans” before Doomed even gets a chance

I don’t want to be unfair to DoomedIdeas, and I really wasn’t trying to be mean about it. CoV to de-escalate this.

@JonathanDark To be clear- My preferred ending is that both of our trucks remain as “Pokes’ Rice and Beans”. However, since you made two proposals to prevent our Trucks from having the same names, you clearly don’t share that sentiment. I took the second-best route with this proposal so I could make sure I would at least keep my name. I don’t think you were being mean about it.
Anyways, now that your proposal has failed, I am withdrawing this proposal. May the franchise live on.
