In “Dishes”, replace “up to three Ingredients” with “one to three Ingredients”.
Zero-ingredient food does seem difficult to work around, in terms of both narrative and gameplay.

Zero-ingredient food does seem difficult to work around, in terms of both narrative and gameplay.
Narratively players are going to be giving their own private interpretations of what a zero-food item is when writing their menus: it’s a glass of water, it’s a branded T-shirt, it’s an experience economy interaction with the vendor. The storytelling creaks when a customer decides to buy a T-shirt instead of a glass of water.
For gameplay, drinks and merch could be good additions to the game, but disparately filing them as zero-ingredient “Dishes” means that any future Dish rule has to remember to work around them. It’ll be a shame to see new mechanics being voted down because they forgot to take into account that some food has no food in it.
