Honestly I really don’t understand this proposal at all.  I think I understand the mechanics, but why?  What is the desired effect?

For now, it’s just an implementation of the theme, which is supposedly somewhat related to FRC according to the ascension address.  The basics of the Fantasy Rules Committee, for those of you who don’t know about it, involve the players taking turns adding information to the game while trying not to contradict anything that had previously been added.

Things are going so slowly around here that we need something interesting to work with.  Try getting interesting strings into the chant, and then make motions that give the contents of the chant specific meaning.  Or not.  Do anything with it that strikes your fancy.  I’m sure someone will find something interesting to do with it.  I have some extension ideas, but I’d like to get the ball rolling on this dynasty before introducing them.

er… it wasn’t the Ascension Address, but the Election post from last dynasty in which Chronos mentioned that the intended theme had something to do with FRC.  I, at least, voted FOR Chronos based on this impression.

I think its a pretty awesome idea. Although I did have some questions about the whole “half” think. Like, if I were to say

“Each line in the chant must appear lexicographically after the previous line” and the current chant was ACD then there would be more than half, yet it would still be very limiting.

Shouldn’t there be something giving the chant regulations power over the chant?  Also, what if I were to add “Only Tiberias may add lines to the chant.”?
