This was posted in the other post, but I’ll repost here.

I nominate Christopher Walken

* Wit 7 (Walken was amused by the (presidential candidacy) hoax, and when asked to come up with a campaign slogan, replied “What the Heck?” and “No More Zoos!”)
* Scholasticism 4 (He studied at Hofstra University on Long Island but did not graduate.)
* Moxie 5
* Artistry 8
* Charisma 4
* Mysticism 5 (He was raised in the Methodist religion.)

Special Abilities:
Acting: May act as any one insane Einherjar, even unrecruited and disgraced, regardless of the owner if it would cause the Valkyrie who owns him to win the skirmish or if it would cause Fólkvangr to not win a skirmish. When acting as another Einherjar, that Einherjar’s statictics (and special abilities?) replace his own. After the skirmish, Christopher reverts back to exactly how he was before the skirmish started.

I nominate Albert Einstein.
Bio:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Einstein
Male sane honorable
* Wit 4
* Scholasticism 8
* Moxie 3
* Artistry 5
* Tinkering 6

Special Abilities:
Genius: Einstein’s Scholasticism score cannot be changed by an effect that does not expire.

On Walken, I’d recommend “... act as one male, non-Disgraced, insale Einherjar”.  Note that at present, the insane Einherjar are Jeanne d’Arc (the only insane female so far), Emperor Norton, Baron von Sternberg, Guy Fawkes and Rasputin, and none of them are Disgraced at the moment.

I nominate Aaron Burr.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Burr
* Charisma: +7
* Combat: +4 (Revolutionary War experience)
* Moxie: +5
* Mysticism: +1 (degree in theology from Princeton)
* Wit: (-4)

Male, Sane, Dishonorable.

Special ability:
As a Weekly action, Burr’s owner may cause Burr to challenge any male, sane, honorable Einherjar to a duel by making a post to the main blog that indicates this.  Burr’s owner then rolls DICE20 twice in the GNDT.  If the result of the first roll is _less_ than the sum of Burr’s Moxie+Combat, _and_ the result of the second roll is _more_ than the sum of Burr’s opponent’s Moxie+Combat, then Burr wins and Burr’s opponent becomes Disgraced.  Contrariwise, if the result of the first roll is _more_ than the sum of Burr’s Moxie+Combat, _and_ the result of the second roll is _less_ than the sum of Burr’s opponent’s Moxie+Combat, then the opponent wins and Burr becomes Disgraced.  In any other case, neither participant wins the duel, but Burr becomes Honorable.  If Burr’s opponent would become Disgraced as a result of the outcome of a duel, then the owner of Burr’s opponent may announce (via a blog post) that Burr’s opponent declines to participate in the duel—in which case the results of that duel do not occur, but all Einherjar owned by Burr’s opponent become Dishonorable (i.e., this is an after-the-fact decision by the owner of Burr’s opponent to save Burr’s victim, at the cost of dishonor.)

For Walken, I figure an actor can act like anyone, dead, alive, disgraced, but he tends to play act as more off the wall characters, so I thought the insane limitation was appropriate.

Jack:

I nominate Bjarni Herjólfsson.
(In short, Bjarni is widely credited as the first European to sight the North American mainland.)

* Scholasticism: -5 (can’t be very smart for not landing on a new continent!)
* Moxie: +9
* Tinkering: +2
* Charisma: +4

Male, Sane, Honourable

Special Ability: Luck
If increasing any one of Bjarni’s statistics to +10 would cause a Valkryie that owns him to win a skirmish, then the All-Father may roll 1DICE6.  If the result of said roll is 6, then said statistic is increased to +10 purely for the purpose of the skirmish.

1 in 6 chance doesn’t seem too lucky, but that’s just a thought.

Eh, I don’t want him to be too powerful.  But Hix is free to lower that chance.

Christopher Walken is seriously overpowered.  All those positive stats, plus mimicking ability?

He’ll go for a high price then.

Clucky: he/him

15-12-2007 22:20:10 UTC

I nominate Barry Bonds. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_Bonds

Male,Sane,Dishonourable

Wit: -3
Combat: +3
Moxie: -3
Charisma: 2

Special Ability: Steroids
As a daily action, the Valkryie that owns Barry Bonds may roll a DICE8 DICE15. If, counting down in the usual manner, the the value of Barry Bonds statistic from the first dice roll is less than the second dice roll, the Valkyrie may increase this statistic by one, provided it does not become greater than ten. If the value of the scond die roll is less than or equal to the value of the statistic, Barry Bonds is moved to the list of disgraced Einherjar and the Valkyrie who owns Barry Bonds is fined 50 acorns for harbouring a cheater.

Hix:

lol, but 50 acorns is harsh!  I think I’ll lower it a bit.

New Einherjar are almost ready… Christopher Walken’s stats have been nerfed, and I reinvented the exact formula for dueling; everything else is the same but has the language cleaned up (hopefully).
