I wanted to do that but didn’t think it was legal (nothing in the rules says that the order of the list doesn’t matter), so I was going to wait until I had a free slot to allow myself to do it.

If it is legal, it’s a potential core rules loophole that should be fixed (what if a proposal tried to change the rules to care about the order?).

That said, it’s clearly entirely harmless, so I am not planning to revert it myself.

I guess I interpreted the rules differently, where if order mattered, it would be explicitly mentioned.

If a Proposal changed the rules to care about order, we’d likely discuss in the comments whether to use the existing order, or require that Proposal’s author to specify what the default order should be.

I think it would be unlikely for people to vote FOR a Proposal that gave meaning to the order of a list with existing values without trying to establish what the order should be once that Proposal was enacted.

I dunno, the ruleset doesn’t say we can put information into a table either. I think this might be an area where there is a negative right (i.e. something has to be disallowed to be illegal) rather than a positive one.

@Josh: “A Drafter may change the layout or design of a gamestate wiki page if doing so would not change how any rules interpreted its content.” (“Spelling and Formatting” in the Appendix) is the rule that lets you put information into a table.

Seems like it would also let you reorder the information in the same way?
