MWA HA HA!!!

This has to do with what is going on right now.

I made it as a joke to point out the annoyingness of the common use of the [evil] tag in an earlier dynasty.

I see nothing in those comments that would rebuke what I said. Victory doesn’t need to be triggered by a DoV, Victory doesn’t need to be enacted into law.

Under the current ruleset all I need to do is be the victor, and there isn’t even anything in the description of a DoV that says the DoV must pass for the person to be declared the winner.

Or more acurately, that the passing of the DoV makes me the victor.

When a DoV passes, all other active DoVs are failed, and a new Dynasty begins with the Character who made the DoV as its Narrator.

Proof that the passing of the DoV makes you the victor.

Oh, and the mess stems from the “if this fails, it passes” parts.  This is proof that that doesn’t work.

Basically, the wording inside a DoV has no effect no matter if it passes or not.  It is simply reasoning as to why you believe you have achieved victory.
