There’s nothing that says that the text “If this DOV fails, Rodlen wins this dynasty” would ever be executed. “If you read this sentence, I win.”
it falls along the same line as mine. nothing says parts can’t become active if it fails but this kinda sucks
Nothing happens if the DOV fails. It’s text wouldn’t have effect even if it succeeded because it is not a Proposal.
Technically, the text is just detailing why he thinks he won the current dynasty; therefore, if this fails, it just means that the reason provided was not a good enough reason or was not a valid reason.
This just seems like a spoiler to the introduction of any new proposals. Not necessarily evil, but a tad irritating and a time waste.
Maybe we need a piranha tank for the perpetrators of failed, time-wasting “loopholes”.
Maybe we should make a core rule that states that each player may make a DOV only once per dynasty. That way, if you make a spurious one, you waste your chance of actually winning.
I also second the pirhana tank idea, as long as the pirhanas have frickin’ laser beams attatched to their heads.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
