Justice Problem and Seance Dispute

It occurs to me that there is no way for a pending Call for Judgement to block a future action that cannot be undone (such as revealing secret information).  Would there be support for a proposal that added this somehow?  For example, we could allow a CfJ author to put the game into a hiatus until the CfJ is resolved.  Also, it seems that technically, a hiatus does nothing except expedite Calls for Justice.

WE had the ability to call a haitus for a time….as it stands, there really isn’t any way to do it other than declare victory.

I don’t think we need it - all of the revelatory processes in the current ruleset are (I think) worded as “may”, so if something obviously weird happens and the wrong secrets are forced, the secret-holder can just choose not to reveal anything.

In other contexts where we aren’t revealing irreversible secrets, manipulating the game into something unstoppable is often the point of Nomic. Clever scams would suffer if we had a red button to press whenever it looked like someone was about to surge to victory. (Although conversely, scammers could also get good mileage out of that red button; pulling off some exploit and then freezing the game for a while, if that delay would somehow benefit them. But that doesn’t seem very interesting.)

There was some discussion of this back in September when I was repealing a “Time Freeze” clause I found in the ruleset.
