As a matter of policy I’m going to go on this but I think it’s a really interesting design space and if this passes I can think of a bunch of ways we’d want to use it.

not being able to discuss things on the discord seems pointless to me. its much easier to chat about things there than on the blog itself which can be notoriously slow

At this point it’s clear that this will pass, but I do happen to agree with Clucky on this one

@Clucky I’m aware that banning Discord comes with a noticeable loss in convenience, but I’m fairly interested in seeing what the game would look like when everything is mobed to the blog

(provision’s also there to account for Ais)

not sure why the rest of us should be forced to accommodate for choices of other players who could easily join the discord

“the #current-dynasty, #blognomic-general and #new-player-questions-and-mentorships Discord channels, are not considered to be private communication” is more limited in scope to “discussions conducted on the BlogNomic Discord server are considered to be private communications”, and thus I believe they would still not be considered to be private communications

I’m not opposed to loosening the restriction later (e.g. cooperation deals can only be made on the blog) but for now, I’d like to try this out
