So with AgentHH’s new icons and the new color scheme that someone put into place, is it just me that can no longer rapidly scan and see what comments are votes FOR? Before the fact that the icons didn’t look like text, and were differently colored than the names of players, helped a _lot_ in this rapid scan determination.
The one thing I made sure to do was keep the colors different. I was debating white/grey for the Veto, but decided not to for quick scanning abilities, thus the light blue.
Also, why does the Veto icon show up with a non-normal size sometimes? I know that Firefox was caching some of the icons for a while, grr…

I’m not surprised that I’m the only one that is having a hard time telling (as I tend to use color and shape strongly too differentiate things, and now we have something that is shaped like slightly large text that is right next to slightly large text that is colored the same as the slightly large text), but I _am_ surprised that no one seems to even understand the confusion I’m trying to convey. :(
I really have no idea why you’re having that problem :P I look for the colored boxy shape and determine its color. I guess the colors being the same is bad… well, you could always follow each link for the name to set the color to a darker green.

(And the “boxes” aren’t “boxes” in my head, they are square brackets. When I scan the page I see three characters that are the same size, color, and general area of a name of a user.)
On the size thing: er. I know this. ask me after i’ve had a good day’s sleep.
saurik, i have the same problem. If the for icon and the green text were just a shade off from one another, that would help me greatly.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
