To the rule “Scoring”, add a paragraph:-
A Wordsmith’s Pool is made up of, for the most recent Scorings they have made on each Backronym that was posted since the last time an Acrogenerate action was performed, the number X in each Scoring’s “Score X”. If a Wordsmith’s Pool contains at least four different numbers (or no repeated numbers at all), then that Wordsmith is considered Balanced, otherwise they are considered Askew.
Then replace “For each Wordsmith that posted a Scoring to that Backronym” with:-
For each Balanced Wordsmith that posted a Scoring to that Backronym
Replace “A Scoring should reflect how much the commenter likes the Backronym, and how well they think it fits the Prompt (if the Prompt is not blank). ” with:-
A Scoring should reflect how much the commenter likes the Backronym, how well they think it fits the Prompt (if the Prompt is not blank), and any attempt they wish to make to spread the numbers in their Pool.
The Pool proposal revised as requested: only four numbers, and more thoughtful reflection.
I’ll omit the one-round delay since we’ve just started this one.
Bucky:
And speaking of timing problems, it’s possible for a Wordsmith to be Balanced for some Backronyms and become Askew for later resolved ones, or vice versa.
