Nikita Khrushchev led the Soviet Union from 1953 to 1964 and gained much popularity from sponsoring the Russian space program, most notably the launch of the first satellite Sputnik. His popularity went into decline after the failure of his domestic policies and the aftermath of the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Darknight: he/him
Score 1, it’s more a stretch of history vs a specific moment per the prompt
Josh: he/they
Score 3. I think the 1s are a little unfair; while it may not fit the definition of a single fixed event, I appreciate the even-handed nuance that the headline brings to a complicated historical figure.
Bucky:
Score 1
Would be 2 for vagueness and awkwardness, but then the proper noun penalty kicks in.
Trapdoorspyder: he/him
Score 2, I have no idea what you expect people to do when the prompt is literally “historical event”. Proper nouns aren’t on the EFF list anyways by using that it’s a forfeit of potential points there anyways.
Bucky:
I’ve been dinging people for proper nouns all dynasty. I’m maintaining open, consistent criteria because they’re part of the “terrain” of the dynasty and if anyone puts up a good backronym without one in this round they deserve the advantage.
Bucky:
I guess that I would refrain from penalizing the use of proper nouns from the EFF list, and that I should publicly disclose that in advance.
Trapdoorspyder: he/him
Fair enough! I think we’re just working off of different criterion
Clucky: he/him
Score 2. This doesnt really feel like a specific event and “Enjoys Volatile Accomplished Notoriety” feels like it could probably be applied to anyone
