Proposal: Deathbed Confession

Timed out, passed 11 votes to 0. Enacted by Kevan.

Adminned at 01 Nov 2007 04:19:27 UTC

Repeal Rule 2.10 (Wills) and create a new subrule of Rule 2.1.1, called “The Solicitor”:-

Any Villager who is alive may email the Solicitor (if one exists, and if their email address is known) to specify or update their own last will and testament. This shall be a set of instructions for distributing their own possessions upon their death, as well as any statements the Villager would wish to be known after their death.

If a Villager is Dead, the Solicitor may (so long as they are alive) post their own interpretation of the deceased’s will to the BlogNomic blog, and distribute the Villager’s Inventory as they see fit. (If a Villager had specified no will, the Solicitor is free to make one up.)

I like it.

Also, I realize that profession doesn’t qualify as a possession, but maybe there should be a way to pass on professions under some circumstances (like the Villager getting the profession has to be professionless for a certain period of time prior, or something).

This wont need a part that says it can’t be updated after death, correct, because that would be against the current rules anyways, correct?

The proposed rule opens with “Any Villager who is alive”, Chivalry.
