Proposal: Beginning the Third Stab; #1

In the wiki page Building Blocks, add a rule named “Imperative Rework” with the following text:

[[The Third Stab]] is a proposal related to Imperative Rework. It is considered flavour text. If a proposal only modifies [[The Third Stab]], it can be tagged with [IR] and if it is the only [IR] proposal said author has in the proposal queue, it does not count toward the author’s pending proposal limit.

Initialize The Third Stab with Imperative Rework - Proposaltext as seen at 30/7/2025 17:05.

Enable the Building Block Imperative Rework.

As said on Discord; I feel like the issue with Imperative Rework is that there is no singular player that can bring this whole proposal into fruition.

As discussed on Imperial Rework; the issue with having the discussion be on wiki is that people are less likely to really engage with the discussion on wiki when the play is happening on the Blog.

As a change that needs to be considered and applied holistically, I’m not sure that a series of proposals are the best way to get us there. Blog comments are a good place to have the discussions, but do we (including whatever percentage of the current playerbase don’t really mind how this goes) really need to take a full and slow vote on every step of it?

I doubt current methods of “waiting until we find someone to bear the whole burden of seeing the whole proposal from start to finish” is going to get us done in 10 years from now.

There isn’t a current method, people just haven’t thought about it for a while.

Some blog discussions would be a good method. I’m not sure that blog discussions where we talk for a while and then vote on a small change, if any, (while also trying to play a Food Truck game) would be that effective.

This really doesn’t seem like a problem in need of fixing. Only real concerns I see with the current rules is some lack of clarity with what the emperor’s responsibility is
