Things that a mentor should do
The mentor and mentee may work together to achieve victory. If a mentor achieves victory with support of their mentee then they should, if the mentee wishes it, pass the baton to the mentee.

It’s not strictly necessary:

If… a new Researcher has joined the game and has no Mentor, the Department Head should select a Tenured Researcher and ask them to take that Researcher on as a Mentee; if they accept, then such a Mentorship is established.

So it’s all a should rather than a must.

But it is funny.
