Proposal: No Such Thing As A Free Lunch

In “Dishes”, replace “The available Ingredients are: Beef, Chicken, Lamb, Pork, Falafel, Wrap, Salad, Cheese, Sauce.” with:-

The available Ingredients and their Costs are: Beef ($3), Lamb ($3), Chicken ($2), Pork ($2), Falafel ($1), Wrap ($1), Salad ($1), Cheese ($1), Sauce ($1).

In “The Night”, add a bullet point to the start of the Night action:-

* (From Tomorrow:) Prepare ingredients: For each Truck, reduce their Dollars by the Cost of each Ingredient which appears anywhere among the Ingredients of their Menu’s Dishes

Requiring Trucks to spend money on their ingredients, at the start of each night. You’re buying in bulk and paying per Ingredient rather than per instance of it, so specialising in a particular meat will be much cheaper than stocking all four.

This payment is written as a Tomorrow Clause, so it won’t apply to the current round.

What happens if a Truck uses ingredients that they can’t afford?

I think that this should probably be a Prep action.

True, the action breaks down if someone completely runs out of money. We’d have at least six rounds to amend that before it could happen, though.

Making it a Prep action would save me some paperwork, but would be a bit of a standoff with it being tactically better to always go late (you can factor in rivals’ spends and they can’t factor in yours).
