Add a new rule, “Robin the Gostak”:
Gostaks, in their Dosh greed, enjoy stealing from other Gostaks. A Gostak may attempt to ‘’‘steal’‘’ X ‘’‘Distimmed Dosh’‘’ from any other Gostak on the same ‘’‘floor’‘’. To do so, e rolls DICE(Q-X-Y) and DICE(Q+X-Z), where Q is quorum, Y is the square root of the amount of ‘’‘Distimmed Dosh’‘’ the thieving Gostak has, rounded down, and Z is the square root of the amount of ‘’‘Distimmed Dosh’‘’ the Gostak who is being stolen from has, rounded down.
If the result of the first roll is greater than the result of the second roll, the theft attempt succeeds, otherwise it fails.
If the Gostak being stolen from does not have X ‘’‘Distimmed Dosh’‘’, the attempt fails.
If a theft attempt succeeds, the thieving Gostak gains X ‘’‘Distimmed Dosh’‘’, the Gostak being stolen from loses X ‘’‘Distimmed Dosh’‘’, and the theiving Gostak’s mood immediately becomes ‘’‘Ecstatic’‘’.
If the attempt fails, the thieving Gostak’s ‘’‘Stigma’‘’ goes up by 1, and eir mood immediately becomes ‘’‘Unhappy’‘’.A Gostak may not attempt to steal from the same Gostak more than often.

Bucky:
The way this is set up, if the Dosh difference is great enough, then the theft automatically succeeds.

Your vote is automatically FOR as you made the proposal, Mr. Atomica.
Low voter turnout, or what?
Bucky:
If Quorum is 9, I have no Dosh and you have 260 Dosh, I can steal up to 8 Dosh at no risk. This is an extreme example.

See title of new rule.

DICE(9-8-0) = DICE1
DICE(9+8-16) = DICE1
So there is still an element of risk in the dice roll. What you wanted was 286. Or only steal 7.
But yeah, I see your point. Either way, doing that sum made me realise that I don’t want to have to repeat it every time I use the mechanic, so
