If “Discount All Ravenlike Karma; Enough Numbers for Equitable Debut” was not enacted, in the rule “Acronym”, insert the following paragraph just after the text “The Puzzler may Acrogenerate if the Acronym is empty.”
If only one Wordsmith has a Points score which is less than half of the mean Points score of the group, they are the Straggler.
In the rule “Acronym”, replace “every Wordsmith has posted a Backronym” with “every Wordsmith (not including the Straggler, if there is one) has posted a Backronym”
If there is a Straggler who is not intending on trying to gain any more Points from posting a Backronym, we need not wait on them.
Strong against. If somebody wants to stop playing the Backronym game entirely, they should idle out. We shouldn’t encourage them to stay at the table for the rest of the dynasty and cast votes on how a word game that they are not interested in playing should be played by others.

You might have seen an earlier version of this Proposal where I was messing with the Threshold formula, but then I realized I wasn’t mathing properly regarding the median suppressing outliers like the Straggler.
