Proposal: This has been scammed at least once before, probably more than once

Replace both occurrences of “no other Artist” with “no Artist” in the rule “Critical Acclaim”.

I believe Kevan won a dynasty by exploiting this once. (For those who don’t know the scam, the action is limited from being performed by multiple different Artists, but not from being performed repeatedly by the same Artist.)

against This is not a trap. The rule reads “...provided that no other Artist has done so in the preceding 3 days, any other Artist may…” so it isn’t possible in the first place for the original Artist (ie. one who is not “other”) to perform this action.

@bateleur: You misread it. Say that you don’t make a proposal for 5 days. Then, I can reduce your Acclaim. Then, because nobody but me reduced your Acclaim in the last 3 days, I can reduce your Acclaim again, and repeat indefinitely until you have 0. (This sort of scam is a lot more dangerous going upwards than downwards, but even downwards it’s problematic.)

No, that’s not correct. But it doesn’t matter to me since your proposal is at worst harmless so I’m just going to leave it alone.

for The double “other artist” is a little confusing in the current rule; I think Ais is right in that you can interpret the “others” as being unconnected. (“No artist other than me has reduced Bateleur’s Acclaim in the past 3 days, and I am an ‘other’ to Bateleur, so I can reduce Bateleur’s Acclaim.” and repeat.)
