What if the payout is just “Gain N Points” where N is the number of gamblers with this segment in their wager? Feel like that kinda does the same thing. Plus it harkens back a bit to the random scam.
Maybe too much of an encouragement to change Wagers at the last minute.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.

5 points is a worse payout than the stuff that pays segments. So donno why someone would bid on this as is. Meaning the first time that it fires, its gonna have less than five gamblers bidding on it and so it’ll get even worse. Think it would be more interesting if N grew if fewer people bid on it.
