To “The Monster”, add a paragraph:-
Trapped within an ornately curlicued circle of chalk and ash, the Adventurer named TyGuy6 may not use the effects of Hidden Monstrosities, nor perform Monster Battle Actions other than Claw, Fling, Wreck and Befoul, nor may they have more than four Monstrosities. This takes precedence over all other dynastic rules.
If the Duke is concerned about improving the wording of rules to prevent Monstrosity scams in the final battle, it may be simpler just to block off likely scam vectors.

With the cathedral roof gone and the doors smashed apart, cold winter air was swirling through the old building now, carrying away the smoke but keeping the scattered fires alive. The air shimmered and created strange refracted angles around the bulky creature which had once been our companion, as if we were seeing it through twisted glass or running water. Visions flickered and faded, and for one terrible moment the creature wore a different face, a mask of mismatched glowing eyes that seemed to stare into my soul and beyond it, dragging me backwards down the nave with a sudden and sickening vertigo.
My rifle and sword fell to the flagstones, unnoticed, and I sought refuge among the blackened pews. As the fight continued without me, I consulted the book we had brought with us, the plan to contain the evil of Jerez Cathedral within a careful boundary of chalk circles and sigils. There was no time for a single hand to trace these lines, even less so with the creature driving us back, but perhaps a few well-placed lines and curves would be enough. I could only hope that my allies were of the same mind…
