In Rule 1.1, replace “including replacing Spivak pronouns with the singular “they”” with:-
including replacing Spivak and gender-specific pronouns with the singular “they”
If we’re autofixing Spivak pronouns, maybe we should autofix gender-specific pronouns as well - the current ruleset uses a mix of “he” and “they”.
Personally I’d prefer if we just used Spivak, but as long as we’re consistent I don’t care.
(Though, note, if we’re talking about two people, having the same pronoun for both gets confusing. This is why RPG books often use differently-gendered pronouns for players and the GM.)
If one’s pronouns are confusing, he made a mistake and you need to rewrite the sentence.
