Change the sentence in the rule “Missions” that begins “Each Mission’s System is chosen at random” to read as follows:

Each Mission’s System is chosen at random, and its Team Size is an integer equal to the number of Subroutines in the Computer’s queue when the Mission is created. If the Team Size would be zero, it is instead one, and if the Team Size would be greater than the number of non-disabled Crewmembers, it is instead equal to the number of non-Disabled Crewmembers.

I thought it would be interesting to get a little insight into the queue this way—and figure out if there are players who are submitting Subroutines but can’t be bothered to show up for Missions.

One-man missions aren’t interesting, and this would make them the common case.

for I hope we’re going to see more compelling reasons to go long on subroutines. This takes it in a nice direction, although I think it may need tweaking, especially if we end up with routinely full subroutine queues.

It may also be useful - Androids will have an incentive to push up the subroutine queue, as that’ll increase their chances of getting on missions, so if we see a lot of junk MD1Cs going through from the same people then we’ll have an idea about what’s going on.
