This addition is invalid, as the post does not announce rebelyellow’s arrival; eir vote did.

Explain?  The post title clearly states they desire to play?

“Any human may apply to join BlogNomic (if they are not already playing) by registering at http://blognomic.com via the Register link in the sidebar, and then making a post announcing their arrival.”

That has nothing to do with specifying a desire to play. Arguably, it should, but it doesn’t.

Along similar lines, it’s possible for an admin to register anyone whose first interaction with BlogNomic was via blog post, regardless of whether they want to be a player or not. This is also a bug.

This implies he wants to play.

I note that posts of this type have always been considered valid.
