Proposal: And we shall call it, THIS LAND…

2-7, cannot be enacted w/o CoV—Excalabur

Adminned at 14 Sep 2005 00:19:06 UTC

Add a subrule Colonization to the Territories subrule reading:

If a Territory contains a population of more than 100, the Country controlling that territory may induce it’s population to colonize a new land by giving them 10 grain, which must be subtracted from the Country’s Stocks of Commodities.  The Country may then create a new territory which must be adjacent to the territory being colonized (but may be adjacent to other territories as well).  The population amount of the new territory is subtracted from the colonizing territory, and the new territory is said to be Colonized by the controlling Country, noted in the World page.

How about we call it YOUR GRAVE! RaaaaaaRR!

against it is hard to resist a firefly reference, but being a shrimpy, impoverished country I have to oppose rules which give more resources to wealthy countries.

hmm, now that I think of it, I probably should have used the food type for this.

I saw the grain as a kind of bribe: Move here, and I’ll give you this!

I also have in my personal queue a proposal to make shrimpy impoverished countries have some kind of ramp-up.

against At least for now. As is, only 6 of the 10 countries can colonize a new territory (1 or 2 of which mich evel colonize 2), which effectively doubles (or triples) their production.
I believe our first priority is making growth possible for ALL countries.

If I could vote FOR based solely on the Firefly quote, I surely would.
