Quorums 12-2 and is enacted - coppro

Adminned at 13 Apr 2011 08:19:36 UTC

Add a new subrule to the rule called Officials, entitled Animal Welfare Administrator:

Duties: Must perform the action described in the Animal Welfare Administrator’s Powers every Monday.
Powers: The Animal Welfare Administrator can, as a daily action that can only be taken on Monday, subtract 2 from the highest Baabuck value in the GNDT, and change all Baabuck values of 0 to 1.

Odd way of phrasing it. I would have gone with “...may, once each Monday…”

But it works (I think, this time)

imperial per chivalrybean; not a reason not to establish the position though?

@chivalrybean & William:
You’re seeing an empty position with no text? It follows the same formatting as Josh’s and ais523’s proposals do. The statement to add a subrule is given along with the name of the office, and then the text of the subrule is given within the blockquote tags and appears in the gray box. Are you two seeing it differently?

I think Chivalry’s point was that from a hard-line interpretation of the proposal, since there’s nothing to specify that the blockquote should be added to the ruleset, you would only create the heading.

you’re right that there’s precedence in this dynasty, though (I hadn’t actually noticed until it was pointed out), so I’m inclined to think it won’t matter. You could probably also argue that the colon implies it, if it came to a cfj.

I think the colon implies it, so it’s fine.

What happens if there’s a tie for the highest value?  against

Travis:

@coppro:
For example if the values are:

7 0 3 5 0 9 0 4 8 9

The “highest Baabuck value” is 9, and to subtract we would “replace V with V-X”, and then “change all Baabuck values of 0 to 1”

Thus, the new values after the action are:

7 1 3 5 1 7 1 4 8 7

Ah, ok. for
