Proposal: Another brick in the wall

Reaches quorum, 12-0. Josh

Adminned at 19 Dec 2010 01:34:30 UTC

Add a new rule to the ruleset, entitled Bricks:

A standard brick has the following properties:

* A colour, which must be one of Black, Blue, Green, Grey, Orange, Purple, Red, White or Yellow
* A size, which is the bumps on the top of the brick
* Dimensions, which are recorded in the form [z]x[y], where [z] and [y] are the brick’s dimensions along its length and width. [z] multiplied by [y] must always equal the same number as the brick’s size.

The Value of a standard brick is equal to its size.

imperial @Roujo- yeah, it’s odd to have two-dimensional bricks, might be difficult to build things with them.  But I look forward to seeing where Josh is going with this.

...these are a LOT of colours to keep track of.

against

1) Bricks should also be able to have height
2) I dislike the wording of size. I think it would be better phrases as something like
“Both the size and value of a standard brick are equal to [z] * [y]

The current reading sounds like it would be possible to turn a 1 by 8 brick into a 4 by 2 brick.

I have no problem with keeping brick heights the same.
