In the definition for the keyword Slack, replace “Hackers” with “Any human”, and remove “while logged in”. Append to the definition:
If a Hacker has an account on the Slack, their Slack username should be as close to their BlogNomic username as possible. Slack usernames are editable, and only need to be unique within the BlogNomic Slack.
For the first clause: it’s needless, as the ruleset doesn’t govern what non-players can or can’t do (non players can, for example, access the blog and make comments, they’re just not considered gamestate); and it’s potentially risky, as “humans” is a keyword that pops up a surprising amount.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
